Benefits of Home Boarding

Every carer has been selected for their enthusiasm, dedication, interest and experience in dog care, all of which contributes to the dog feeling special and very welcome throughout their stay within their family and home.

Each carer and their home have been risk assessed and all have passed to a high standard but then their individualism kicks in. Some carers have family dogs, some have children (over the age of 6 years), some live in rural locations others in towns, some have large homes and others smaller properties but all live within a few minutes walk of the countryside. Some carers work from home and others are retired but all have the time to devote to your dog. Our carers are licenced and insured, some are qualified Canine First Aiders and others carers are working towards this qualification. We even have children of some carers undertaking the Canine First Aid Course.

Our Home Boarders

Our carers work exclusively to one client, they do not dog walk, pet sit or groom for anyone else.

Our carers work with you to ensure the routine you have with your dog is maintained throughout their stay and many carers will go that little further to assist you and your dog.

  • One carer volunteered to take the clients dog to the dogs own vet to continue routine treatment
  • Another was asked to take the dog to their daughter’s wedding so he could join the married couple as they walked up the aisle
  • Some carers arrange dog groomers to provide a full dog groom/ bath, dry and brush, nails clipped in readiness for their owners return.

Some carers encourage a sleepover for the dog prior to a full booking being made to help ease potential anxiety of the dog, but more often for the owners!! We can provide this service at a reduced rate when booked in conjunction with a planned stay.

We are always interested to listen to special requests however, additional costs may apply.
